This was a splendid concert by Michaael Jones who played wonderfully and introduced the works with knowledge and humour. The newest and quite unknown composer whom I found quite remarkable was William Beaton Moonie but Michael pointed out that I had pirated a note in the programme written by Dr David Wright. I an very sorry at this failure of attribution since it was so valuable in getting to grips with a new and quite unexpected composer. I am very happy to add this recognition and even more excited by the offer by Dr Wright of copies of Moonie’s music and a CD for which I am very grateful and thank Dr Wright for his kind foregivness.
